He entered the seminary of the Monastery of Our Lady of Deliverance Al-Sharafah in 1958, where he followed preparatory and secondary studies until 1967. He continued philosophy and theology lessons at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, where he obtained a bachelor\u2019s degree in philosophy, a degree in liturgy, and a degree in theology.<\/p>\n
After completing a pastoral year in Homs, during which he worked as a professor in Homs schools and founded the Marian Brotherhood, he traveled to France between 1973 and 1976, where he obtained a master\u2019s degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne University, and then a doctorate in the history of political and moral philosophy.<\/p>\n
He married Mrs. Josephina Thevotes in Rome and then returned to Homs, where he was ordained to the priesthood in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in 1977.<\/p>\n
He served in Tumen Parish from 1977 until 1992, in addition to Homs Parish.<\/p>\n
