The Marian month in Saint Michael Church in the village of Maskana..
His Excellency Bishop Mar Julian Yacoub Murad participated in the Marian month prayer in the Church of Saint Michael in the village of Maskana, in the presence of the parish priest, Father Danny Kader, Father George Ghanem, and the faithful, male and female.
In his speech, he congratulated the feast of “ Blessing of the Virgin on the Ears of wheat ” which falls on May 15. He explained that just as the Church of Antioch designated January 15 for the “Virgin’s blessing of the crops“, likewise May 15, when the harvest time approached, was designated for requesting the Virgin’s intercession for blessings The earth’s bounties, such as wheat and other seasons…
His Eminence spoke about our relationship with our mother, the Virgin Mary, and about the intentions that we carry in our minds and hearts that we dedicate to her.
Our intentions are for the healing of the sick, comfort for the souls of the dead, for the sake of the students in their schools and universities… and for the sake of all the travelers who traveled abroad in search of a better life, who carried the seeds of faith in their hearts and were a source of pride for the Church in their new communities with their faith, integrity, and honesty.
He spoke about the consecration by Pope Francis of Rome this month, this year, for the consecrated male and female monks, nuns, priests and bishops… so that the Virgin’s intercession may be with them, as she is the role model for them by her purity and complete obedience to the Lord.
In conclusion, there was a meeting and exchange of greetings with the men of the parish, its youth, and the ladies’ fraternity, and everyone expressed their joy and blessing in the presence and participation of His Eminence.
