A friendly visit by the Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church to our diocese

In a gesture of fraternal love, Patriarch Mar Ignatius Aphrem II Karim, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Syriac Orthodox Church in the world, made a friendly visit to the Syriac Catholic Diocese of Homs, Hama, and Nabek at the Archbishopric House in Al-Hamidiyah, where he was received by the Diocese’s Patron, Bishop Mar Yulian Yacoub Murad, in the presence of Bishop Mar Flapianos Rami Qabalan, Bishop Mar Youhanna Jihad Battah, and the priests of the diocese. Patriarch Karim was accompanied by Bishop Mar Timothaos Matta Al-Khoury, Bishop Mar Maurice Amsih, Bishop Mar Okin Al-Khoury Nemat, Bishop Mar Ioannis Boulos Al-Souki, and the priests of the diocese.
Bishop Murad and the parish priests visited St. George Church in Zeidel, congratulating him on the imitation of the Holy Cross by the parish priest, Father Gabriel Hazim.
These meetings come within the framework of consolidating rapprochement, cooperation and brotherhood between the two Syriac churches
