Bishop Murad in the festive Communion Mass for children: “Be faithful to the deposit of Jesus.”

“O Jesus, the sweetest and most delicious offering.” on the sound of this hymn and the innocent voices of children, 11 children from the parish of the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Al-Hamidiyeh came forward to receive the sacrament of ceremonial communion, during a Divine Mass presided over by Bishop Mar Yulian Yacoub Murad, with the participation of the parish priest father Michel Numan, and the diocesan priests and deacons.

In his sermon, Bishop Murad thanked the Christian education educators in the parish for their effort in preparing the children and raising them in the Christian faith and a deeper knowledge of the secrets of the Church, the Ten Divine Commandments, and the ecclesiastical commandments.
He added: “Jesus said, I give you one commandment: Love one another as I have loved you, so that the world will know that you are my disciples.”
He considered that the love of adults is conditional for a goal and is not similar to the love of children. Therefore, Jesus said that if you do not return like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. He stressed that children are the true school of love because their love is without interest and does not contain hatred. He gave them a commandment to be faithful to the deposit that was handed to them by the Lord, and to preserve Sunday Mass, Christian education, and commitment to church life, which is part of our lives.
After renewing the dates of baptism, the acts of faith, hope, love, and the act of repentance, Bishop Murad granted the children the sacrament of Communion. At the end, souvenirs were distributed to all participants.
