With a gesture of fraternal love, Patriarch Youssef Al-Absi, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Alexandria and Jerusalem for the Melkite Catholic Church, visited the headquarters of the Syriac Catholic Archbishopric in Al-Hamidiyah, Homs, at the head of a delegation that included Bishop Youhanna Abdo Arabsh and the priests of the diocese.

And the priest of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Father Michael Noman and the priests of the diocese.

To the sound of the Syriac hymn to receive the rabbis, “Tobashloum”
Everyone headed to the cathedral, where prayers and hymns were offered
In his speech, Patriarch Al-Absi thanked the warm reception, considering that our church is a comprehensive church that transcends all borders and reaches the heart and mind of every person searching for God.

In the Archbishopric’s salon, a spiritual discussion took place that dealt with the liturgy and Byzantine and Syriac melodies, as the Patriarch specializes in sacred music and has a collection of melodies for hymns and psalms that have become imprinted on the church and rooted in the minds of the believers.

This meeting comes within the framework of Patriarch Al-Absi’s visit to the Diocese of Homs to celebrate the centenary of the renovation of Saint Elias Church in Rabla.
